Bain Capital Private Equity finalises the acquisition of Fedrigoni

Bain Capital Private Equity, a leading global private investment firm, has completed the acquisition of the Fedrigoni Group.

The closing of the transaction came after the approval by the competent authorities. The acquisition value amounts to around 600 million euros.

It was also announced that a branch of the Fedrigoni family, in the person of Chiara Medioli, has acquired a stake of 10% of the Company’s capital and will take on the role of vice chairperson of the Group.

We are also especially proud of further reinforcing our presence in operations in Italy and in the industrial sector in particular, where we have recently acquired control of European finTyre Distribution.”

Fedrigoni was assisted by BNP Paribas, Gianni Origoni Grippo Cappelli & Partners and by Canestrari & Crescentini Associati. Bain Capital was assisted by Rothschild, Poyry Consulting & Capital, Fisher International, PwC, Latham & Watkins, Kirkland & Ellis and Pirola Pennuto Zei & Associati. BNP Paribas, HSBC, UBI Banca and KKR will act as joint bookrunners in financing the transaction. The branch of the Fedrigoni family that reinvested in the Company’s capital was assisted by Carnelutti Studio Legale Associato.
