Water and energy are precious resources, and the group  works hard to make sure that the management of them improves every year. The paper production is powered completely by methane and renewable hydroelectric energy, (Fabriano is a direct producer).
In order to optimise the enery use there are three cogeneration plants. To further minimise carbon emissions, one third of our raw materials must arrive at our plants by rail. We make sure that at least 70% of the cellulose we use to make paper is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). We are also committed to using natural fibres from plant crops that grow rapidly or are replenished annually, such as cotton, hemp, flax and bamboo.
